Gillette Invests $147 Million in Polish Plant

POLAND: The Gillette Company will invest $147 million to build a new razor factory in Lodz by 2007. The plant will produce, package and export disposable razors and shaving products to Russia and Western Europe. Boston-based Gillette will also move 700 employees, consolidate production from Isleworth and Hemel Hempstead, UK, and shift Sensor manufacturing from its German and Czech plants. In total, 1,150 people will be employed at Lodz....
